How to start the claim process
Before you call to make an appointment for your insurance claim at our shop, write down as much information about your lost or stolen jewellery as possible, in as much detail as you can remember.
If you can gather receipts, appraisals, bills of sale, pictures and/or certificates for the lost or stolen items, doing so can help make the process quicker and more precise.

Next steps to replacing your valuable jewellery
Upon receiving your information about your items during your appointment, our insurance claim expert researches the data to determine the replacement costs, develops a thorough insurance estimate, sends a fax estimate to your insurance adjuster and submits a copy to you. This process typically takes 2-3 business days.
After your estimate is approved by your adjuster, come in to JK Schmidt Jewellers for attentive care in assisting your selection, order or custom replacement. All you pay is the deductible (if any).
